At a room temperature of 67 - 78 degrees, Praying Mantis hatch in 3 to 6 weeks. It is recommended that owners release most or all the nymph mantises into the outdoors upon hatching, (one or two may be keep separately to raise as pets.) Mantids are hunting insects and upon hatching will likely be frightened by other mantids or eat them as prey. They have astounding appetites. If you decide to keep your mantids as pets, you will need to feed them very small insects or aphids frequently.
