Wright Brother Airplane | Metal Earth Flight

The Metal Earth Wright Brother Airplane models are amazingly detailed etched models that are fun and satisfying to assemble. Each model is made from a pair of completely flat laser-etched steel sheets. On December 17, 1903, Orville Wright piloted the first powered airplane 20 feet above a wind-swept beach in North Carolina. The flight lasted 12 seconds and covered 120 feet.

The Metal Earth F4U Corsair models are amazingly detailed etched models that are fun and satisfying to assemble. Each model is made from a pair of completely flat laser-etched steel sheets. The most capable carrier based fighter-bomber of World War II featured the largest engine available at the time: the 2,000 hp, 18-cylinder Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial. It was the first US warplane to exceed 400mph in level flight. The plane featured an unusual inverted gull wing to keep the undercarriage short while allowing the use of the large diameter propeller demanded by the powerful engine.
