This is "The General" of the Western & Atlantic Railroad - the most famous railroad in the world! Made famous by its capture during the Civil War.  It is the train that Andrews' Raiders stole from Kennesaw, Georgia, and ran almost to Chattanooga, Tennessee, burning bridges along the way hoping to cripple the South's military supply line.  The soldiers were captured two miles north of Ringgold, Georgia, only a few miles south of Chattanooga. Several of the Union soldiers who were involved in this daring raid were the first recipients of the Medal of Honor. Eventually, twenty-one of the twenty-two Union soldiers who participated in this raid would be awarded the Medal of Honor - the last recipients were given the medal by President Joe Biden.  This is without a doubt the most famous locomotive in the world. It is not the "Wild West Locomotive" as described in your description. Locomotive number 3 is "The General." It can be seen at the Southern Museum of Civil War and Locomotive History in Kennesaw, Georgia.
