Mustang P-51

The model finished as a 3.51" x 3.71" x 1.17" statue. The Mustang P-51 was a long-range World War II fighter aircraft that flew as a bomber escort over Germany. Powered with the British Rolls-Royce Merlin engine, it was unmatched by any other piston fighter aircraft of World War II.

Black Pearl Pirate Ship

Metal Earth Black Pearl Pirate Ship models are amazingly detailed etched models made from stainless steel. It starts out as 2 4-inch metal sheets and you simply pop out the pieces and follow the included directions to assemble. No glue or solder required. The model finished as a 3.90" x 3.12" x 0.70" (10 x 8 x 1.8 cm) statue. There once was a real ship named Black Pearl captained by Henry Morgan, one of the world’s most notorious pirates. The Black Pearl which first sailed in 1669 fought many battles; the most famous of which was an invasion in Panama in 1671. The following year Captain Morgan was put in prison in England. Years later he returned to Jamaica as a judge and governor. Henry Morgan died in England in 1688 after a long illness.

F4U Corsair

The most capable carrier based fighter-bomber of World War II featured the largest engine available at the time: the 2,000 hp, 18-cylinder Pratt & Whitney R-2800 Double Wasp radial. It was the first US warplane to exceed 400mph in level flight. The plane featured an unusual inverted gull wing to keep the undercarriage short while allowing the use of the large diameter propeller demanded by the powerful engine.

The model finished as a 4.76" x 3.51" x 0.94" (12.2 x 9 x 2.4 cm) statue. The Spirit of Saint Louis was the first airplane to be flown solo, non-stop across the Atlantic. On May 20th 1927, at 7:52 a.m. this custom-built, single engine, single-seat monoplane flown by Charles Lindbergh departed Long Island, New York on its historic flight. After 33.5 hours and 3,600 miles, the plane arrived safely at Le Bourget Field in Paris.
